Overview
Whether it's
scrolling down your favourite blog, 'jogging' through
video footage like a pro, or zooming another world in a game,
the Orbita Mouse will revolutionize your experience.
Push, squeeze and spin your way to a better navigation experience
with the innovative new Orbita Mouse. By rethinking the
scroll wheel we've been able to ease strain on your hand and give
you scrolling control that other mice lack.
The Orbita Mouse works on the desktop or a mouse pad just like a normal
mouse, except that you can spin it and use it at any angle.
Simply spin the Orbita to scroll, jog or rotate objects.
How it works
Orientation
The smart Orbita incorporates in-built electronic compass
technology so it always knows which way it is going.
The top small white arrow button is the Orientation Button.
Pressing this button while the arrow points forwards on your desktop sets that
as the 'up' direction for pointer movement on screen no matter how the mouse is
rotated.
Take it for a spin
The Orbita Mouse can be rotated with one finger like a video or audio
'jog wheel' or you can 'flick' it and it will spin freely on its ball
bearing base.
You can continuously rotate the mouse this way, unlike with a traditional
mouse scroll wheel. Rotating the mouse needs only a very light touch.
Spinning the mouse sends normal scroll wheel commands, so the
Orbita is compatible with all standard applications. But compared to a
normal scroll wheel, the continuous spinning action of the Orbita Mouse
is smooth, fast and precise.
Buttons
Because the mouse can be used at any angle you can also use the buttons
at any angle. There is one 'push' button which can be operated from any part of
the top of the mouse, and a series of 'squeeze' buttons which give a
'right click'.
The silver 'Jog Dimple' button can be pressed while rotating the
mouse to activate horizontal scrolling. Or, it can be configured as the
'middle mouse button' for complete compatibility with your
applications.
The Jog Dimple button also glows with a cool blue light to indicate when
the Orbita is charging on its base station.

Overview
The Orbita Mouse configuration software allows you to
customise the operation of the Orbita Mouse to suit the way you work with
particular applications.
Simply create profiles for the applications you want to customize. When
you're ready to use that application, load the profile and your Orbita
Mouse will behave exactly how you want it to. With this customization
power setting up horizontal scrolling in a spreadsheet
or even completely changing the mouse into a media centre
controller is easy.

Advanced Settings*
Advanced Settings allow a sophisticated range of options for
mapping the output of the Orbita Mouse to various mouse,
keyboard, multimedia and multi-axis controller data streams. These
options are useful for integrating the Orbita Mouse into specialised
software applications; or where it is intended to be used in addition
to a separate mouse, for non-mouse functions.
